How Often Should You Wash Your Hair?
Have you ever wondered how often you should actually wash your hair? What is the right amount of washing to keep your hair healthy? Does too much washing damage your hair or make it more clean? Well, I thought I would do a little research to find out the ins and outs, really, of washing your hair and keeping it healthy.
A little about my hair type. I have medium to fine hair, naturally curly, and somewhat stretchy hair. I have colored my hair for years now. I straighten my hair on most days except for on humid or rainy days because it will curl up anyway. I wash my hair every other day, most of the time.
Now, I know everyone’s hair is different so that is why I want to start with determining what kind of hair you have: curly, fine, straight, thick, frizzy, course, or oily. Depending on what kind of hair you have determines what you should be doing with your hair. I did a little research on this and read a few articles online; settling with the one from Harper’s Bazaar. Their article is the best article I’ve found yet. They guide you to do a strand test and determine what kind of hair you have and how healthy it is at the moment. I highly recommend you check out their article.
