Instead of having a word of the year, how about having a mantra of the year?

The past few years, I have chosen a word to live by for the year, like discipline, calm, and organized. I see many people online having a word of the year as well. For 2025, I decided to do a mantra of the year. Or you could call it your phrase of the year. Here is my reasoning: I realized that I usually like focusing on a few things, and when I thought about the two things I most wanted to accomplish, I put them together and made a mantra or phrase. This idea really felt paramount to me. Let me explain how that process went in choosing my mantra and maybe your process might be similar.

How wild would it be to actually do what you say you are going to do?! Maybe my word of the year for 2025 should be “DO”. I had originally chosen the word “consistent” to be my word of the 2025 year. But I think I have settled on my mantra: “consistently do”.

So much of the time I think or plan on what I want to do, and never get to the actual doing. And then comes the consistently doing part…day in and day out. This applies to working out, eating healthy, posting on social, drinking water, saving money, and on and on.

Think about the mountains that can moved if you actually “consistently do” all of those things! I am very good at planning, but not as good at execution. 2025 is going to be the year that I “consistently do” on all the things I have been wanting to do or have been on my goals list year after year.

So this year, if you can’t choose just one word, consider the mantra (or phrase) to live by for the year. Consider what you want to become or do in 2025. Maybe who you aspire to be, as in character traits or even career. Share in the comments your word or mantra.
