A Curated Lifestyle For Daily Chic Living

all-things-lifestyle

Hi, and welcome to Sweenolia, a daily blog for living a curated and chic lifestyle.  I am so glad you decided to stop by.  Hopefully this website will be your next follow and become your new obsession.  With that said, let me take this first post to introduce myself and let you know what you can expect from me and this blog.  But first, let me tell you my “why” for starting this blog.

Why start a blog?

I love to write.

Writing has been something I have loved to do ever since I was in 6th grade.  I remember my 6th grade teacher had our class start a journal.  Every morning in class, for 20 minutes, we had to write about a topic she gave us or one we thought up on our own.  She preferred we write about something creative we came up with ourselves, but when I had writer’s block, I would use her journal prompt.

Ok, back to the topic…writing has been a part of my life for almost my whole life.  Having a blog is only fitting for me as a writer. Especially as a writer who loves to write about many different things.

My passion for chic living.

Along with my passion for chic living as it pertains to everything lifestyle like style, fashion, beauty, design, books, food, and more. Curating that chic dream life I so desire each and every day. I guess you could call me a Francophile as well. I love reading blogs and books about French living, dining, and chic living.

A love for chronicling everything.

Chronicling, coming up with content, and then creating content is also something I love to do.  I have kept lists of ideas for years.  I always felt kind of weird for doing that, but now all those list of ideas can finally be put to good use, and believe me I have been using them in coming up with new ideas.

I love consuming content.

I also love consuming content, of all kinds. Especially chic living content, but I am a believer that you can get something out of everything. What doesn’t pertain to you, leave it. I often find that I just can’t seem to find exactly what it is I am looking for in content.  So the only logical thing to do is create exactly what it is I am looking for.

The goal.

That is the goal here, to create what I love and what I can’t seem to get enough of. If you are a Francophile yourself, you know what I mean. There are just not enough books or blogs about living a very chic life and lifestyle.

But like everyone else in this space, I went kind of over-board with my expectations. What I mean is that I wanted to do everything everywhere everyday. I thought it would be doable, but with a full-time job already, besides for this little passion project, I decided to be more reasonable. I realized that I needed to step back and start small and build up as I learn more, grow more, and hopefully find more time to devote to it. So reconfiguring my plan to make a more realistic way to do this.

Overall, I just want to share all the things about chic living and what I love.  And I must say I am a pretty diverse individual who likes a wide variety of things.  This blog will hold me accountable and hopefully help me to grow and allow me to do the things I love.

Get ready for lots of content.

Now…on to the good stuff.  Sweenolia will be a blog all about beauty, sustainability, frugalness, thrifting, style, fashion, home, tips, books, cooking/baking, and anything lifestyle really.  I’ve been pretty domestic and sometimes old-fashioned, my whole life.  It is what I love.  What’s crazy is that back in the 90s when I was growing up and then as a teenager, I was embarrassed by all those qualities, and now those qualities are really “the thing” now.  Funny how that works.

Trendy or not, I don’t care.  Trends are fun, but come and go. Domestic with a little old-fashioned, and chic is who I am.  So stick around. I’m sure there will be something here for you. But I really want this to be a community of people, sharing ideas back and forth on daily chic living.  We can all learn from one another each and every day.  I encourage you to share your ideas here on the blog and on my social channels.  I love new ideas and I am sure we will love your ideas as well. **(Note: please note, that I reserve the right to delete or not publish any inappropriate comments).

You can find me here every week, and the following social channels:  Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.  Follow me and we can keep the conversation going.

See you tomorrow!
