Lazy Sundays at Home Reading, Writing, Football, Movies, & Food
I love our Sundays at home. They are my favorite day of the week. My husband and I spend the entire day together and we love it. He kind of does his own thing at home tinkering on things in the morning, and then from around lunch time until bed, we are in the living room spending time together doing some of our favorite things.
Most Sundays, we get up early enough to go to church for an hour at 8am, and then back home at 9am. I absolutely love being able to go to church, get fed with the words of God, and then go home. Once we get back home, I cook us a good and filling Breakfast Brunch. Since we are eating later in the morning, this time of year, we will sometimes we will skip lunch and have an early supper while we are watching football.
Usually, there is our three favorite football teams playing on Sunday. They are: Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Chiefs are our favorite. At least, they are my favorite. Mahomes is the best football player and his wife is a great follow on IG too.
I always do our laundry on the weekends, so I can hang them up outside. So on Sundays during the game, I am folding all the laundry on the couch while we watch the game. Usually it is a lot…ugggghhh! But it’s a good time to get it done. I am one of those people who has to be doing something while I watch TV. I feel like I am wasting precious time if I only watch TV and don’t do anything else.
Reading is high on my list on Sundays as well; with a coffee or Matcha beside me while I read on the couch. Lately, I have also been writing a lot on Sundays. Writing my blog posts, journalling, and making oh so many lists (like I always do). If I haven’t planned my menus yet, I do it on Sundays as well.
In the evenings, we have gotten in the habit of having homemade pizza in the pizza oven. Let me tell you….this pizza is fantastic. I will share a recipe with a few variations soon. But the pizza oven makes all the difference in the world. That was the best investment we have made in a long time. I bought it for my husband on his birthday last year. We bought the Camp Chef pizza oven. Affordable and great! It will change how you cook pizza (even frozen pizza), and trust me, you’ll never look back.
I also try to do a reset of sorts, trying to get everything ready for the week ahead. My menus planned, my outfits picked out, refrigerator cleaned out, house picked up, and my bag ready for work.
Overall, my Sundays are just perfect. We have so much fun and it is so relaxing just being at home, laughing, spending time together, eating, and doing our favorite things.
Have a great week!!
