Magazines That Inspire Style

Do you love magazines as much as I do? I have loved magazines since I was a little girl at my Granny’s house. Magazines like Country Woman and Victoria magazine, as well as Teen, Seventeen, YM, and more. Now I read many more magazines and have expanded my genre of magazines to food, fashion, decor, vegan/plant-based, and occasionally news magazines. To me, magazines are just as good as a book. Valuable because they are filled with lot of ideas and can be used as a resource to return to over and over again. Magazines are like books to me, in that, I love actually holding a physical magazine, marking up the pages, dog-ear pages, and cut recipes from them. They are regarded by me, the same way books are…very important and can’t be thrown away (that is, if I really love them and want to return to them over and over again).

I subscribe to several magazines; the print version, of course. To be honest, I have a small fear that magazines will one day be non-existent. With everything so digital and all, I want to keep promoting the print version. Valuable. To me priceless.

So, I have put together a list of a few magazines that I love and highly recommend to you if you love style, decor, or food:

  1. Domino – This magazine is one of the greatest sources of modern decor and style in general. I love the articles and read them cover to cover. My favorite one was when Sarah Sherman was on the cover in her home. Her style and design is magnificent.
  2. Magnolia Journal – We all know Joanna Gaines has got it going on. Her magazine is filled with ideas for decorating, style, shopping ideas, and food. I enjoy reading everything she writes.
  3. Veranda – Traditional style is paramount in this magazine. Bold colors, warm colors, and full of nostalgia.
  4. Sweet July – Ayesha Curry’s new magazine is so chic and enjoyable to read. From recipes to style she has created a beautiful magazine.
  5. The Pioneer Woman – My kitchen and home is filled with Pioneer Woman merchandise. I absolutely love her stuff. Her magazine is a gem as well with not only food, but style and decor and lots of fun stories.
  6. Vogue – Anna Wintour is one of my favorite fashion icons. So naturally, I love Vogue magazine. It also has very good articles in it, that are really informative.
  7. Architectural Digest – This is a magazine I never dreamed I would love reading cover to cover. But reading about design, I have found, is one of my favorite things to do.
  8. Oh Reader – And this magazine is an absolute must for all book lovers. They feature bookworm accessories in the front of every issue, books you should add to your TBR list, and some really great articles. This was like finding a gem in a haystack at Barnes & Noble. It is was near the writing magazines.

I hope you enjoy the world of magazines as much as I do!
