Day 1 of the 35 Day Consistency Challenge
Well, today(I am writing this Monday night, which is day 1 of the consistency challenge) was the first day of the consistency challenge I am doing for the next 35 days. If you want to find out what I am doing to go about it, check out Monday’s blog post.
Just to recap, here are the 5 things I am working on for the challenge:
1. Wake up at 5:45am
2. Walk on treadmill every morning
3. Drink 64oz (1 jug) every day
4. Count calories every day and record in My Fitness Pal(track to lose weight)
5. Do MWH pilates workout every night
Here is how I did today. I do have to say, at 9pm tonight as I write this, I’m proud of myself for what I accomplished today.
1. I woke up at 6am this morning. Waking up early is going to be a process and something I will work on each day with the end goal being 5:45am. Tomorrow I will set the alarm for 5:59.
2. I walked 1.0 mile on the treadmill after work today. Even though I did not walk on the treadmill in the morning, I did get it in after work. I am learning to get better at imperfection. Even if I can’t get it in in the morning, I can at least get it in sometime that day. Progress not perfection.
3. I am down to the last little bit of water in my jug for the day. The water bottle I use is 64 ounces(so this one is 2 quarts), and I purchased it at Target. I sometimes will add sliced oranges, lemons, or limes for a light flavor. It really does quench your thirst.
4. Today I ate less than the calorie goal I have. Yay!! Hopefully keeping this up, I will see some good results. **(I should note, I am not a health expert by any means, just logging my progress. Please consult your doctor for your specified calorie intake and exercise regimen).
5. So far, I have not gotten to the MWH workout. I may try to get to it before I go to bed, but I am not going to beat myself up over it.
Overall, I am very pleased. Each day I will make progress and push through the excuses that crop up trying to get me to not do my goals.
