Tips For A Cozy winter Day at Home

We all love a day at home. But what about a day at home that is rejuvenating and calming? Have you seen those reels that have a great ambiance that you just wish you could live in, with dim lights, candles, calm music? Yeah that is the kind of day I am thinking about. That is my kind of cozy. So why not recreate that kind of ambiance, day, and life for yourself?! That is the purpose for this post, to help give you some tips for doing just that.

  • Alone or with someone. Whether you want to spend it alone or with someone, it doesn’t matter.
  • Wear comfy clothes. You are home and it’s just you or you and someone else. Wear what you want to wear and be comfortable wearing it. You can look stylish still and be comfy. Choose comfy.
  • Spend part of your cozy day hanging out in the bed. Whether reading, watching a movie, or writing, it might be nice to just stay in that comfy bed a little longer than normal.
  • Read a good book.
  • Drink lemon water, coffee, or matcha, or all three of them.
  • Watch your movie lineup. A good rom-com, a chick flick, or a drama. These are my favorites, so whatever you like best.
  • Write in your journal. Spend some time writing out your thoughts or ideas.
  • Make the lights dim in the evening when you watch a movie and light some candles.
  • Cook a warm & hearty soup like potato soup or beef stew.
  • Sit fireside or turn on the fireplace insert. If you don’t have either, maybe turn on the hearth log on tv for the ambiance for a little while.
  • Play calm music while you are reading, writing, or even cooking the soup.
  • Meditate and do some light pilates. Just because it’s a cozy day at home doesn’t mean you don’t have to move a little. Try to get that movement in.
  • Take a calming bath. I use lavender bubble bath, a candle, bath pillow, a book, and this playlist.
